Yay! I’m teaching a class!

Framed, cross stitched,and painted Earth

In celebration of Earth Day, I will be teaching a class on beginning cross stitch for the Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh, North Carolina, on April the 10th. Actually, they’re doing an Earth Month, but that’s fine.

Participants will end up with a 2 1/2 inch framed Earth. There are some variations on the supplies, resulting in unique Earths. I hope very strongly that people will finish the project just fine within the allotted hour and a half, but if they can’t, then they’ll see how to finish it all and be able to take everything necessary home. So if you’re in the area, and you’d like to make a little Earth ornament and talk about embroidering maps, then sign up. I’m rather excited about it. It’s been ages since I taught needlecraft stuff. Hope I remember how. Details here.
