Go outside, embroider a plant, photograph a snake

Doing some needlework out by the pond when this dude came to check out the progress. Damn, he was NOISY.

black snake

Not sure if this is a black racer or a black rat snake. Either way, he was long and fast.

  1. *Wisher* says:

OMG.. where did the snake seek out from?? It looks curious..

  2. I live out in the woods. There are a lot of snakes. I have built a turtle hide so I can do needlework and watch the pond. This guy was hunting through the leaves and got up to me. It was COOL. Don’t know where you’re from, but all the north carolina black snakes are non-venomous, so it’s one of the few that people are happy with.
