IMPORTANT FROG BULLETIN!

upland idAfter an extremely nasty February, one warm and sunny day has occurred. The 10 inches of snow melted entirely within two days and temperatures got in the lower seventies, a 40 degree temperature differential over 24 hours. The Upland Chorus Frogs, (Pseudacris feriarum) at least the male ones, took it as a sign that both spring and weather suitable forĀ breeding has arrived and are subsequently making a racket.

No clue what the female chorus frogs think.

More snow is forecast for tonight. They may be a bit premature.
