Blood loss due to giant watermelons

Got nine mosquito bites while trying to photograph the giant watermelons. Stupid mosquitos. Next time, I should prepare myself better. Heavy bib overalls over a long sleeved button down shirt, hiking boots. And a hat. Basically cover myself head to toe. Do not leave any flesh exposed except for your face and your hands. Honestly, if I could wear gloves and still push the shutter release, that’d probably be good too.

The giant watermelons are a tiny cucumber called a cucamelon or a mouse melon.  Pretty easy to grow, although they do require the construction of tiny trellises.
