Two trees down

img_5166Two winter trees now done!

The upper was produced from the original design. It uses a single strand of floss for the outlining, is more complicated in its design, and uses muted browns for the trunk. There are some complicated roots also.

The second variation uses twice the thickness around the outside of the design. The trunk is more vibrant, which seems a mistake. There is more snow, and the foliage has been made more compact. There were some tweaks with the foliage also, towards ease of stitching.

So, comparison take home is thicker outside good, thin inside good, more snow good, easier good, but new trunk bad.
